Responsibilities 

  • Source applicants by researching and contacting various sources such as community services, trade schools, colleges and leveraging internet database sites and social media sources
  • Disseminate information for internal Hiring Events to promote and fill open positions 
  • Field incoming candidate inquiries (phone, internet, walk-ins, Hiring Events) and enter applications into the applicant tracking system (HiringThing)
  • Assess the qualifications of applicants for numerous positions across multiple yard locations by conducting initial application/resume reviews
  • Verify documents and credentials for compliance with hiring practices and procedures, including completing employment verifications, auditing applications for accuracy and DOT compliance
  • Maintain appropriate levels of communication with hiring managers to provide candidate overview, update on hiring progress, coordinate interviews, and track anticipated start dates
  • Engage candidates as they move through the hiring process ensuring they have a clear understanding of their status   
  • Coordinate travel for new hires to and from the weekly onboarding program
  • Conduct orientation with new hires, review new hire paperwork for completion and input employee data into HRIS system (ADP)
  • Collaborate with the corporate office for hiring and recruitment needs across the organization
  • Coordinate pre-employment testing
  • Develop and update job descriptions and job specifications

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
  • 3+years of work-related experience, recruiting role focused on high volume hiring preferred
  • Experience in Oilfield Services and/or the Trucking industry preferred
  • Willingness and ability to travel to various locations and work a flexible schedule
  • Ability to communicate effectively in a friendly manner with all customers including hiring managers, job candidates, and employees
  • Positive, friendly and customer-service oriented approach coupled with the ability to create partnership between operations and HR team


The Field Recruiting Coordinator will serve as the primary contact for the onboarding program and will work closely with Field Operations to ensure staffing needs are met for the Western District, this includes but is not limited to: recruiting and conducting Hiring Events across the state, reviewing applications, onboarding new hires, and working with members of management to streamline hiring efforts. This position is responsible for ensuring the HR department’s operations are running smoothly and effectively in order to deliver maximum value to Field Operations. As such, this role requires the Field Recruiting Coordinator to be successful in a fast paced, “startup” like environment.
